A new version of the Panzer Dragoon Zwei: Remake Episode 2 demo is now available on Steam, building upon the demo that was released in February at Steam Next Fest.
Panzer Dragoon Zwei: Remake Demo version v 1.1.0 is now live on Steam. The last version released at Steam Next Fest was v 1.0.3. If the demo is following semantic versioning, this could be considered a minor update, rather than a patch level update.
Forever Entertainment have posted the following message and change list:
Dear community, Since the previous demo, we have carefully reviewed your feedback and introduced a range of gameplay, visual, animation, and audio improvements. Your comments have helped us identify what needed more attention, and we will continue reacting to your suggestions as development progresses.
Play the updated demo, experience the changes for yourself, and let us know what you think. Every piece of feedback helps us improve Panzer Dragoon Zwei: Remake.
Thank you for playing and supporting the game. We look forward to hearing more from you!
Change list:
- Improved player movement, aiming visibility, and level paths
- Refined enemy movement, behavior, attack timing, and accuracy
- Updated character, dragon, enemy, and environmental models and animations
- Improved the boss fight, including its arena, behavior, animations, effects, and destruction sequence
- Added and reworked visual effects for projectiles, damage, explosions, destructible objects, and Berserk activation
- Improved the behavior and destruction effects of battleships, turrets, gates, and other enemy units
- Added new sound effects for enemies, weapons, and destructible elements
There is a thread to provide feedback on the updated demo over on the Forever Entertainment Discord. I’ve played through the demo on the Steam Deck OLED a couple of times. While there were visual and gameplay improvements, I noticed significant frame drops in v 1.1.0 compared to the old Steam Next Fest version. The frame drops appeared to be less common on the second playthrough, but were still noticeable. I hope these can be fixed.
