Forever Entertainment have confirmed that Panzer Dragoon: Remake version 1.4, which comes on the Limited Run Games cartridge, is the same as the previously released v1.3 patch.
Now that the Switch physical versions of Panzer Dragoon: Remake have been shipped from Limited Run Games (at last!), some fans have noticed that the game’s version has been bumped to version 1.4 (thanks Master2873 for sharing the photo). Limited Run Games previously announced that the important 1.3 patch would be included on the cartridge, but there was no mention of including 1.4. On Discord, Monika Ginter, community manager for Forever Entertainment, has cleared up the version discrepancy:
We had to change the ver on cartridge but the content is the same
digital 1.3 = physical 1.4
sorry for confusion
In related news, there was also some controversy about the manual not being included with the classic edition from Limited Run Games. This was removed due to space restrictions in the game’s case. From the listing on Limited Run Games’ website:
*The original product listing included a long-box format manual. Due to space restrictions in the jewel case, this was unfortunately not possible. A long-box format manual will be produced for the PS4 version. Buyers of the Switch version will be able to request one for free from customer support, but please note this manual will not fit in this case with the foam insert and game inside. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and for not posting this earlier.
It’s unfortunate that the manual had to be removed from the Nintendo Switch version of the classic edition, but at least there’s a way of obtaining one.
