I’ve uploaded the screenshots of Crimson Dragon: Side Story that were displayed in the Play XBLA article to The Will of the Ancients. You can view them below:
It’s interesting to compare them to the screenshots released so far for the main Crimson Dragon game. Many of the locations are the same. Sana’s dragon, White Reaver, looks similar to some of the dragons featured in this piece of concept art, however it’s not clear if the dragon/rider pair will also feature in Crimson Dragon.
I want this game to succeed, but I’m pessimistic as to how many people will buy it outside of the existing Windows Phone userbase. An Apple event is occurring on the same day that it is released, and going by the invite image it may include the unveiling of the iPhone 5; lets hope that Crimson Dragon: Side Story’s release on the competing platform won’t be overlooked if that is the case. On the bright side, the cheapest Windows Phone 7 smartphones aren’t as expensive as the iPhone. Maybe some fans will be willing to put down the cash in order to play Crimson Dragon: Side Story.
