Sega has announced that 404 GAME RE:SET will end service on January 5, 2024, less than one year after its launch, with Panzer Dragoon content recently added.
From a Japanese language announcement on Sega’s website, we’ve learned that 404 GAME RE:SET, which first launched for iOS and Android only on April 25 this year, will end service in January 5, 2024, less than a year after launch. The game was released on the respective app stores in Japan and Asia and followed the story of the player, who lives in a world distorted by Sega.
A DeepL translation of the announcement confirms that figures from Get Bus, Derby Owners Club, and Panzer Dragoon have been added to the lineup. A post on X, the social media platform formally known as Twitter, shows us what these Panzer Dragoon figures look like. Thanks to Biyabon for the screenshots.
Gematsu reports that an upcoming version 1.4.0 update, due out in late November, will add an offline-compatible mode. Through this offline mode, users will be able to look back on the game’s scenarios, along with their acquired cast members, figures, and other content after service ends, however battles will no longer be accessible. Save data must be downloaded between December 13, 2023 and January 5, 2024 in order for users to access their content offline.
