Once your body is mine, I shall be able to reproduce myself infinitely!

Cut-Scene (Episode 7 Event 2)

“You have left me no choice…”

System: “Ground block 2-8-9 resuming armament production.”

“He’s gone to the Cradle! We have to stop him!”

“Master voice confirmed. Now forwarding to block 2-8-9.”

Notes

{The Memory Cell dialogue about “ancient war beasts” does not actually appear elsewhere in the game, although it does seem that Mobo was meant to say it in episode 3 at some point during the game’s development. See the episode 3 script for more details.}

{The Memory Cell dialogue where Mobo says “The Empire is chasing that Drone to get it to make more dragonmares for them! Heh!” is from a cut-scene in episode 3, but Mobo actually referred to Abadd as “him” in the original line, not “it”.}

{An extra couple of lines exist in the game code which were apparently meant to come after the Heresy Program’s Memory Cell dialogue, but they do not appear in the finished game. It seems that these lines would have been spoken (or rather thought) by Orta, who would have been considering the origins of the dragon on which she was riding. They would have appeared just after the line “Watch over our friends for me…”:}

{An extra final line for Azel’s recorded message exists in the game code as well. After the words “My child… you carry my spirit. And his spirit, as well…” Azel was meant to speak Orta’s name one last time. Although this subtitle never appears in the finished game, Azel does actually say the word at the end of her spoken dialogue:}

{The following line of dialogue exists in the game code for this episode, but it similarly does not seem to be used in the finished game. It is likely that it was going to appear in a Memory Cell, and it seems that it would have been spoken by Abadd. The line can neither be heard in this episode nor in any earlier ones, though:}

“I escaped from the human empire and searched for the Drone…”

{The following line also exists in the game code for this episode, but it does not seem to be used in the finished game either. It is likely that it was going to appear in a Memory Cell as well, but unlike all of the other Memory Cell lines it originates in an episode that comes after this one, namely episode 8:}

“All units, open fire!”

{There is one last line of dialogue that exists in the game code for this episode which does not seem to be used in the finished game. It would presumably have been spoken by the system, and it would likely have appeared at the end of the episode when Abadd exited Sestren and reactivated the Cradle:}

“The system lock has been forced open.”

Notes on the Old Dialogue in the Memory Cells

{Much of the dialogue in the Memory Cells originated in the previous Panzer Dragoon games, but some of it is worded slightly differently this time around. The differences are as follows:}

{The line where Gash says “We’re not really alive… We’re just being forced to live” was previously worded “But we’re not really living. Just being kept alive” in Panzer Dragoon Saga.}

{The line where Gash says “The Ancients’ spirits are making sure of that” is not literally a line from Panzer Dragoon Saga, but it does echo the line where he said “But I’m sick of being kept alive by the ghosts of the ancient ones”.}

{The line where the Sestren AI says “Purging of bug initiated” is also not literally a line from Panzer Dragoon Saga, but it does echo lines such as “Impurity detected… Pursue at once” and “Impurity near, eliminate it”.}

{The line where Lundi says “He will… always be with me” was previously worded “After all this, he is still with me” in Panzer Dragoon Zwei. The line that appears here is closer to the clarified statement from Lundi’s diary in Panzer Dragoon Saga though, which was “As long as I do not lose what Lagi entrusted to me, he shall always be with me”.}

{The line where the voice from the Tower says “All ground units mobilized. Security measures initiated” was previously worded “All ground units mobilized, initiate operations and secure the area” in Panzer Dragoon.}

{The line where the Sky Rider says “Don’t… let him reach the tower… My dragon… knows the way…” was previously worded “Don’t… let him go back to the Tower… my dragon… knows the way…” in Panzer Dragoon. The word “Tower” should probably be capitalised, too.}
