Panzer Dragoon Mini
The Game Gear game Panzer Dragoon Mini was never released outside of Japan. It was released in Japan in 1996. Panzer Dragoon Mini is essentially a spin-off game, rather than a part of the main series: it has simple 8-bit rail shooter gameplay, cartoon-like visuals (rather than the traditional Panzer Dragoon style), enemy designs and background tunes borrowed from the first Panzer Dragoon game and Panzer Dragoon II Zwei. It features no storyline.
Panzer Dragoon creator Yukio Futatsugi confirmed in an interview with 1up.com that he had no involvement with Panzer Dragoon Mini besides approving the packaging; other aspects of the game’s development were handled by Sega of America.1
One version of Panzer Dragoon Mini was released, the NTSC-J version.
